Traffic Advisory: Temporary Lane Closure on Access Road Travelling Away from Airport

Kenner, LA—Tomorrow, April 23, 2018, from approximately 7 a.m. until 5 p.m., Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) contractors will temporarily close one northbound lane of Airport Access Road traveling away from the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport toward I-10/Veterans Boulevard. Public safety is a top priority, and motorists are encouraged to be patient and prepared for delays by making transportation arrangements accordingly.

The closure will be in place to accommodate the installation of a high mast antenna tower on Airport property as part of the FAA’s Airport Surface Surveillance Capability (ASSC) project, which is a runway-safety tool used to improve surface surveillance and situational awareness for air traffic controllers and flight crews in all kinds of weather.
