NEW ORLEANS AVAITION BOARD NAMES TOP CANDIDATE FOR DIRECTOR OF AVIATION POSITION

Today, the New Orleans
Aviation Board met in open session and voted to commence negotiations with
Iftikhar Ahmad for the Director of Aviation position at Louis Armstrong New
Orleans International Airport.
Ahmad has been the
Director of Aviation at Dayton International Airport in Ohio since 2006 and
previously served in executive positions in Nashville and Houston. In
Dayton, Mr. Ahmad managed over 200 personnel and an operating budget of $39
Million in revenues and $36 Million in expenses with a Capital Budget of $156
Million. Dayton International has approximately 3 Million annual
passengers, 10 airlines and 160 daily flight operations.
Armstrong International
Airport handles approximately 8 Million passengers annually, 9 passenger and 2
cargo airlines, and 160 daily flight operations.
