In response to increasing demand, Armstrong International Airport has extended the hours for its concessionaires.

Beginning today, the hours of operation for most food and beverage, and news and gift providers at Armstrong International will be 5:00 am until 8:00 pm. The operating hours will be phased in throughout the month of July with most vendors being open from 5:00 am until 8:00 pm by the end of July. The only exceptions to the plan will be all bars which will open at 10:00 am and on Concourse A where the concessionaires will close at 6:30 pm.

"This is one of many steps we’ll take in the near future to further enhance the customer experience at Armstrong International,” stated Iftikhar Ahmad, Director of Aviation at Armstrong International. "The availability of concessions to the traveling public is an essential part of meeting the needs of our customers.”

The change in hours of operation comes just in time for the surge of visitors arriving for the annual Essence Music Festival.
